Warm Up to Winter at 4th Annual Northwestival in University District

On Sunday December 5 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., University District will host its 4th annual celebration of winter at Northwest Commons Park. Admission to Northwestival is a cash donation with all proceeds going to I Can for Kids.

Predominantly in an outdoor setting, the winter festival will include an interactive ice bench, 30-foot-high heated igloo tents and roaming performers throughout University District’s Northwest Commons Park. The main stage headline act will be The Royal Foundry, an award-winning Electro-Alt -Pop band from Edmonton.

Maureen Henderson, Vice President Community Experience at University of Calgary Properties Group, explains, “We are so pleased to welcome back Northwestival. There will be a new line-up of entertainers and interactive activities, in addition to the array of businesses, restaurants and residences that continue to build our community as an attractive inner-city destination to live, work and play.”
