University District Announces Servus Credit Union and Welcomes Newly Opened Retailers to its Retail Main Street

University District continues to grow its retail offerings and community events.

University District is pleased to announce that Servus Credit Union will be joining its Retail Main Street on University Avenue NW as a new financial services provider in the award-winning NW Calgary community.

Servus is Alberta’s largest credit union, offering a full line of secure financial services. Having recently merged with connectFirst Credit Union, this new anchor tenant at the University District has deep community roots throughout the entire province and is focused on helping their members reimagine their financial fitness so they feel good about their money.

New retail and office additions have opened this summer in University District including, Bronze Baxx Luxury Tanning & Wellness, Flowers & Beyond, Lagree YYC and FarMor Architecture.

University District’s Retail Main Street continues to grow with 10 new retail additions expected to open later this year including Shoppers Drug Mart, UNA pizza + wine, Native Tongues Taqueria, Seed N Salt, Pho Pham Vietnamese, Swish Oral Care, Hot Yoga on University District, University District Vet Clinic, Easy Blink Optometry and Stephen Cleaners.

Upcoming Events

The U/D Night Market will continue to run on the final Wednesday of each month until September, with the next edition set to take place on August 28, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. This free, outdoor event features more than 35 local artisan vendors in partnership with Marketspot, and offers unique entertainment for the entire family to enjoy.

Further, the U/D Block Party will take place on September 15, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., offering community members a unique opportunity to connect with U/D businesses, experience live entertainment and explore what’s new. This free, outdoor family-friendly event will feature live music, roaming performers, a kidzone and special one-day promotions from U/D retailers.
