Award-Winning U/D Night Market – Holiday Edition is Returning Tonight
Awarded Best Community Event by BILD Alberta earlier this month, the U/D Night Market – Holiday Edition will bring holiday magic for Calgarians this winter season.
University District (U/D), will be hosting the holiday edition of its popular outdoor U/D Night Market series this evening, December 5, at Central Commons Park, located in the heart of the community. The state-of-the art ice rink at Central Commons Park will be open and skate rentals will be available.
What: U/D Night Market – Holiday Edition will include local artisan vendors selling goods ahead of the holiday season as well as live DJs, outdoor skating, and roaming characters for attendees to enjoy.
The following entertainment will also be available:
- A 50-foot heated igloo with complimentary hot beverage (while supplies last)
- Free, kid-friendly crafting stations.
- Ice-skating performances
- Holiday-themed roaming character
Where: University District’s Central Commons Park (nestled between Borough Bar + Grill and The Banquet).
When: Thursday, December 5 from 5 to 9 pm
Ice-skating performances from 6:30 to 7:15 pm
Who: Interviews with spokespeople from University District will be available on-site between 5 – 7 p.m. The opportunity to take B-roll of Calgarians enjoying the festive season and skating rink will also be available.
