Annual Dog-Themed Tails & Treasures Outdoor Event Happening at University District this Father’s Day
The fifth annual event is taking place at the University District Discovery Centre again this year with fun for the entire family
University District will be hosting its fifth annual Tails & Treasures event this Sunday. This beloved family event attracts many members of the community with a shared love for dogs. The event will take place this year on Father’s Day, June 16 from 1 – 5 p.m.
What: This free community event will feature three performances from The Global Pet Foods SuperDogs™ and The Manik Men. Additional activities will include an Amateur Community Dog Show, where a best trick and best costume award will be presented to the top three most deserving dogs in attendance, a Smooch-Your-Pooch photo booth sponsored by Homes by Avi, roaming stilt walkers and live music.
Where: University District Discovery Centre at 4410 University Ave NW
When: Sunday, June 16, 2024 from 1 – 5 p.m.
Event Schedule:
1:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. – SuperDogs™ Show
1:30 p.m. – 2:15 p.m. – The Manik Men Performance
2:15 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. – SuperDogs™ Show
2:45 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. – Amateur Community Dog Show
3:15 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – The Manik Men Performance
4:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. – SuperDogs™ Show
4:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. – The Manik Men Performance
Who: Spokespeople from University District will be on-site and available for media interviews between 1 and 3 p.m.
Tails & Treasures attracts hundreds of community members each year for free entertainment and
a celebration of their shared love for four-legged companions.
Parking: University District offers free two-hour surface lots and a free three-hour underground parkade. License plates must be registered at one of the Calgary Parking Authority machines located at each lot and the parkade. Additional parking will be available on the streets.
